Former Matildas striker Larissa Crummer has announced she and her wife Jodi are expecting a third child. Crummer surprised the Australian football community when she retired in March at just 28 years old, declaring it was time to put her family first and return home. But the revelation that a new addition is on the way adds a new layer to the decision. “Our little family is growing and we couldn’t be happier,” the Crummers shared. “Baby Crummer due November.
Despite their domestic season only just getting underway in March, Crummer called time after a defeat to Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. Such was her commitment to her family that she gave up football altogether and planned to work solely as a plumber. “It’s been tough,” Crummer said. “They have put me first for a long time, now I think it is time that I put them first. “The two little ones are very young — I miss a lot.
