Maura Higgins says the romance rumours are 'pure s***e'
Maura Higgins has spoken out on romance rumours between her and Alexander Demetriou after he confirmed his split from his wife Carlotta Edwards.
Weeks later, Alexander and his wife Carlotta, who is also a professional on DOI, were rumoured to be “taking a break” from their romance as they spent lockdown apart – with Carlotta in Canada and Alexander in the UK. Sharing a statement on his Instagram stories, he wrote: “I'm Sorry I have been quiet on social media recently but it's been a tough time for me personally.
As news of the breakup erupted, Maura was hit with further questions about her friendship with former skating parter Alexander. Maura has been single since announcing her spit from Love Island co-star Curtis, 24, earlier this year.
