Coming off their second 50-win regular season of Kidd’s three-year tenure, the Mavericks begin the second round of the playoffs Tuesday night in Oklahoma City.
Kidd, 51, was three years into his original four-year contract, one that mirrored that of general manager Nico Harrison, who also is in line for an extension in the coming days, if not hours.Coming off their second 50-win season of Kidd’s tenure, the Mavericks are in the second round of the playoffs for the second time in three years, after advancing to the Western Conference finals in 2022.
“To be able to do that is remarkable. Jason and his staff have done that at a high level. We’re not successful if that doesn’t happen.”
