The Mavericks defeated the Pelicans 125-120.traded Hardaway and three second-round picks to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for guard Quentin Grimes, people with knowledge of the transaction told. One of the picks is from 2025 via Toronto and the other two are from 2028.
After spending the first three seasons of his career with New York, Grimes was traded to Detroit in the middle of last season. He played in just six games during his brief tenure in Detroit due to lingering muscle soreness related to a knee injury suffered in January. For his career, he averages 8.5 points and shoots 37.1% from three.
