Max George broke down in tears as he opened up about the death of his best friend Tom Parker, in scenes on tonight's episode of C4's Scared of the Dark.
Max and Tom were both singers in the popular boyband, The Wanted, which launched in 2009, alongside Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes. As they assume it was due to the industry that Max works in, he clarifies that his relationship with alcohol changed after he heard the news about Tom's incurable cancer diagnosis.Gazza asks if Tom was married with kids, Max replies: “His second was due a week after he got diagnosed. He had glioblastoma, which is an incurable brain cancer but it was at Stage 4 when they found it."
