Max Verstappen suspected he hit a bird early in the Canadian Grand Prix. Not only was he correct, it was wedged in his car for the remainder of the race.
From Verstappen’s point of view, the accident did not cause too much damage to his car and he was able to take a comfortable win in the end, even with the bird lodged in his car for much of the race. “I think the biggest moment he had was hitting that bird, which just did half the race behind the front right brake duct,” he acknowledged.
