The deputy mayor is 'still waiting' for a report from Greater Manchester Police about their treatment of traveller children last month. Videos emerged last month of a large number of children, apparently prevented from attending the Christmas markets, walking down a staircase to a platform at Manchester Victoria railway station lined by police. They were then put on trains heading out of the city .
What really happened in town on Saturday afternoon Following the incident, Greater Manchester's deputy mayor Kate Green issued a statement calling for a 'full report' on the action taken by GMP. The Manchester Evening News understands that the force provided an overview of what happened the following day. However, the deputy mayor is still waiting for the 'full report' she requested, the Greater Manchester Combined Authority has confirmed. The M.E.N.
