Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio says that she proposed the use of nuclear energy 12 years prior to President Duterte’s signing of Executive Order No. 164 favoring a Philippine nuclear energy program.
Mayor Sara, whose previous tenure as Davao City mayor lasted from 2010 to 2013, was referring to the previous administration of President Benigno S. Aquino III, which lasted from 2010 to 2016. She said she is in support of her father’s signing of EO No.164 as she believes that going nuclear will launch an industrial boom in the country and potentially solve all of its energy problems.“Yan po ang isa sa mga pinakamabilis na pagbibigay ng solusyon ,” she concluded.
