HOUSTON — A move by Houston Mayor John Whitmire to appoint new members on the board of the Montrose Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone has sparked concern among some leaders in the community."The terms of four of the seven TIRZ 27 board members had expired," the statement said."The administration is notifying council members of the individuals who Mayor Whitmire will be nominating and they will be voted on by council in the next week or two.
