Man United's players and staff paid their respects to club legend Sir Bobby Charlton ahead of kick-off against Sheffield United.
Manchester United coach Steve McClaren was visibly emotional as the club paid tribute to Sir Bobby Charlton ahead of their Premier League clash with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday evening.
As a mark of respect, both sets of players, plus match officials, sported black armbands, and United captain Bruno Fernandes laid a wreath in tribute. A minute's applause also took place ahead of kick-off in remembrance of the former midfielder, who made 758 appearances for United, winning seven major honours, including the European Cup.
The statement issued by his family said: "It is with great sadness that we share the news that Sir Bobby passed peacefully in the early hours of Saturday morning. He was surrounded by his family.
