McDonald’s is giving away 250 bottles of the stuff today.announced on the McDonald’s InstagramThey had originally planned to give the sauce away this afternoon but said there has been a slight delay because the bottles have been held up by bad weather conditions.It’s the first time the sauce has been available in the UK since a Special Sauce cartridge and gun sold for over £65,000 on eBay in 2016.
They only have a seven-day shelf life, so don’t go overboard or you’ll be eating nothing but sauce all week. The recipe for the sauce has always been a secret and although some have tried to recreate it, no one has quite managed the unique taste. If you manage to get your hands on either a bottle or one of the little pots, you can add it to whatever you fancy – a homemade burger, pizza or steak. McDonald’s even suggests adding it to Mac & Cheese, which sounds delicious.
