McDonald's orders ALL customers and staff to wear masks in regions seeing Covid spikes as Delta variant spreads
The fast food giant said it came in response to the federal government’s new mask recommendations."While nearly 82 per cent of our restaurants are in states or localities that require facial coverings for both crew and customers today, it’s important we protect the safety of all employees and customers," said the company.
McDonald’s joins a list of companies issuing mask mandates for its customers in the last week or so including Walmart, Target, and Kohl’s. Last week, major companies including Google, Uber and Facebook said all their US employees must get vaccinated to step into offices. Local officials in California, Louisiana and other states said they would begin to require people to wear masks indoors starting this week,or face regular testing and mask-wearing.
