Lando Norris discusses the extensive damage caused by the collision with Max Verstappen at the Austrian Grand Prix.
Last weekend at the Austrian Grand Prix, held at the iconic Red Bull Ring, a clash between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen resulted in significant ramifications for the Papaya team and their young Briton. During the closing stages of the race and after a nail-biting duel, the two drivers came together, forcing Norris to retire early, leaving his car severely damaged.
In a pre-race press conference at Silverstone, he shared his worries about the long-term implications of such incidents.'Everything is ok. It's more just the longer-term stuff it's impacted more than just this weekend,' he explained, as quoted in the same report from Motorsport. The financial strain, intensified by Formula 1's cost cap rules, limits the team's ability to reallocate resources away from repairs to further development.
