The stewards will not look further into the Lap 1, Turn 1 incident, and Lando Norris and McLaren will reset for Sunday's Miami Grand Prix.
Early Saturday afternoon in the Miami Grand Prix Sprint Race, Lando Norris was wrapped up in a first lap, first turn incident as the two Aston Martin’s of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll touched and spun in a packed sector while Lewis Hamilton tried to pass on the inside of the corner.
Norris exited his MCL 38 on the track, and while nothing is being investigated further by the stewards in the on-track accident, Norris' foot entry to the track will be after the race. 'Nothing I could have done,' Norris told Sky Sports, 'It’s a bit stupid in a sprint race without many points.'Norris, in part, blamed his poor performance in sprint qualification for his early out in the sprint. He qualified ninth, three positions behind his teammate Oscar Piastri.
