Metro Clark Waste Management Corp. (MCWM) is partnering with an international joint venture to build a waste-to-energy (WTE) facility.
In a statement on Tuesday, MCWM—which operates a 100-hectare disposal facility in Clark, Pampanga—announced its partnership with Plambeck-Emirates to set up the WTE project.The company said it would be at no cost to the government as it would be funded by MCWM and its partner, Plambeck-Emirates.
According to MCWM, the consortium submitted its unsolicited proposal to the state-owned Bases Conversion and Development Authority in 2019.
