England international Beth Mead is back in full training with Arsenal following her return from a knee ligament injury.
Mead played in an in-house training match with the women's youth team on Wednesday as she approaches a return to competitive action.Mead has not played for Arsenal since suffering her ACL injury in November last year, which caused her to miss the 2023 Women's World Cup.While the training match saw Mead playing alongside youth team players rather than the first team, it raises hopes she will soon be able to return for the Gunners.
Mead, who was key in England's triumph at Euro 2022 and was subsequently named BBC Sports Personality of the Year, has scored 57 goals in 148 games for Arsenal since 2017 in all competitions.
