Calls to turn down the temperature on political rhetoric went unheard just blocks from the Fiserv Forum at an event hosted for never-Trump and “politically homeless” Republicans. A sampling of what we heard: George Conway, the ex-husband of Donald Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway, called Trump “a freakin’ lunatic” while holding up poster board printouts of the diagnostic criteria for narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder .
Walsh, a self identified “jerk” and “tea party populist,” advocated voting for the Democratic Party nominee . Former RNC Platform Committee Woman Kendal Unruh said she only votes for politicians that match her principles — even if that means voting for third party and write-in candidates. The off-campus event hosted by Principles First claimed to be the real nucleus of the GOP, contrary to what was happening just a few blocks away.
