Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton says some media outlets have done a “terrible job” in covering the Israel-Hamas conflict after the terrorist militant group Hamas spread disinformation over the Al-Ahli Hospital airstrike hoax.
Mr Houghton’s remark comes after Hamas-controlled Palestinian authorities blamed Israel for deliberately air-striking the hospital despite video footage and other evidence proving otherwise.
Mr Houghton said media organisations were quick to push the “discretised Hamas lines” to air despite Israel strongly denying the allegations. “We now know Hamas lied about the number of people killed, who fired the missile and what was hit,” Mr Houghton said. “A murderous group of terrorists who are holding 200 innocent people hostages surely wouldn't lie, would they?
