The final is set to take place on Sunday, June 9 at the Merchant Hotel

Thirteen local ladies are set to battle it out for the Miss Great Britain Belfast 2024 title this weekend.A line-up of judges and hosts includes former Miss GB winners Gemma Garrett and Eden McAllister, as well as ex-Miss Universe Ireland and Cool FM radio presenter Katherine Walker.She said: “I want more girls to have a platform to have their voices heard", and added: “I want to introduce more young women to the world of pageantry.

Lizzy continued: “Miss Great Britain is an all-inclusive pageant system, allowing mothers and married women to apply no matter their background. "Rebekah is 25 years old and currently works as a Beauty Therapist and Dance Teacher. Rebekah runs her own dance school where she teaches girls and boys from 4 years old up to adulthood. Through this, she has been able to establish fantastic relationships with many young people in her community. Rebekah wants to use her platform to show there is so much more to being a beauty queen than make-up and dresses.

"Yasemin is 25 years old and works as a Retail Manager. Yasemin is half Turkish and therefore can speak Turkish at an Intermediate level. Yasemin’s main ambition is to be a good role model to young women, especially in Northern Ireland. Growing up with a different ethnicity was a struggle, and Yasemin found there was nobody she could look up to who had also come from a different culture and was speaking out about the struggles of being different and how to overcome them.
