How this Iris Law-approved creative has ended up working with the man who once produced buttons for Chanel and Gucci 🧵
. I started writing to her – probably too much – like 3 years ago and sending her all of these super crazy ideas that weren’t even about fashion. She was like, “what are you even saying?” but then I started to make the rings and she wanted one. So, I said I want an interview with you. She let me go to her shop and view her collection. You can definitely see in my work I’m inspired by her, even though we make none of the same products.
So, I came with a big case of rings and she was looking at me like, “what the hell is this girl doing?” but she tried one on in the middle of the shop – I feel bad for Isabel Marant now! – and she was super in love. Then we started becoming friends and she’s been helping me a lot.I’ve always been interested, but not to the point of wanting to have all of the clothes. I mean look at me, I’m wearing a vest and shorts from over 5 years ago. I like the references and the history and design.
