The actor penned about a poem about pregnancy loss in her debut poetry collection, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous.
“I’ve never been through anything like that in my life,” Fox said of pregnancy loss in an interview on Good Morning America. “I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us and it sent us on a very wild journey together and separately…trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?’ and ’Why did this happen?’” At the Billboard Music Awards in May 2022, Kelly performed his song “Twin Flame” and said he wrote it “for my wife.
She told Good Morning America that Kelly had encouraged her to write the poetry book, and that she found the experience cathartic. “I just think it was something inside of me that had to come out, because it was going to make me sick,” she said. She said that she’d secretly been involved with “horrific people” in the past, and that due to the scrutiny of being a celebrity, she left some of her poems out of the book. “I wrote a lot of things that didn’t make it in the book,” Fox said.
