Meghan Markle , who stepped back from her Royal duties almost five years ago, is set to be the focus of a new documentary that could potentially leave her feeling 'embarrassed', according to the filmmaker. On 3 December, German network ZDF will broadcast 'Prince Harry - The Lost Prince', promising an in-depth look at the couple's life in Montecito and their quest for significance after their Royal departure in January 2020.
The documentary is the work of award-winning filmmaker Ulrike Grunewald, who journeyed to California with her team to gather insights from the neighbourhood where Harry and Meghan reside with their two children. The film delves into the split public opinion on Harry and Meghan, with younger audiences seeing Harry as a modernising influence, while more traditional or conservative circles view him as a threat to the monarchy. In a chat with the Express, Ulrike hinted that the documentary might make for some awkward viewing for the couple. She also shared with the publication that working on the documentary gave her insight into why the royals were so worried when Meghan and Harry left their Royal roles. Ulrike has made some striking comments about the upcoming documentary, adding: 'Harry - The Lost Prince will look into one of the most heartbreaking periods of the Royal Family since the abdication of Edward VIII in 1936,' which delves into one of the most tumultuous times for the Royal Family since Edward VIII's abdication. She remarked, 'The most damaging allegations can only come from within. Revelations that shock the Royal Family only come out of Prince Harry's or Meghan Markle's mouths.
