Royal titles are steeped in centuries of tradition, and Meghan Markle was no exception when she tied the knot with Prince Harry in May 2018, becoming Duchess of Sussex, Countess of Dumbarton, and Baroness Kilkeel.
She explained: "I don't think anything will happen to the titles because, if they lose their titles, Harry is still a prince of the blood and Meghan instead of being the Duchess of Sussex, be Princess Henry... That really would . Meghan, by marrying a prince, is entitled to the title of princess, but only using her husband's name. This rule also applied to the Duchess of Cambridge, who technically became Princess William when she joined the Royal Family in 2011, reports the Mirror.
