On March 9, investigators said someone pulled up in a car near a house in Humble and randomly started shooting toward a party crowd. Jarvon Coles was hit and killed.

Harris County Precinct 2 has a memorial bench program and Jarvon is the fourth one installed, according to Commissioner Adrian Garcia.

“I’m almost speechless to think that an 18-year-old kid would generate this much. I hate to use the word buzz this much buzz it’s kind of beyond me," said Coles. This bench in a way symbolizes coming together in joy and in grief. It's been an overwhelming feeling, welcoming support for people who knew him and those who didn't.
