We are only recently starting to shed light on the depth and breadth of the problem, and its pervasiveness.In 2017, 5,821 suicides were recorded in Great Britain, and suicide remains the most common cause of death for men aged 20 to 49 in England and Wales. One person in 15 has made a suicide attempt, this is something that touches many people we already know. Furthermore, nearly one in seven people experience mental health problems in the workplace.
