The monster's last appearance saw him light up the Albert Dock with a spectacular fire show
A mythical dragon is heading to New Brighton waters as part of Bonfire Night weekend celebrations. Monty the Mersey Monster can be spotted swimming at regular intervals around Marine Lake on November 1 -2. Monty can be seen from 5.30pm bringing a 'spectacular blaze' and being the key focus of 'an exciting display of light and colour'. Pyrotechnical performances from fire masters Walk the Plank will run throughout the evening with each lasting approximately 30 minutes.
Friends of New Brighton Marine Lake will head into the waters to search for the monster at 6pm. You can see Monty the Mersey Monster's appearance schedule below. Monty's last appearance was in the Albert Dock as part of Liverpool's Chinese New Year festival. Hundreds lined the dock from all sides to witness Monty is full blazing glory as he lit up the water in a spectacular fire show.
