Meryl Streep and her husband of 45 years have split up - with them also revealing their six-year separation. In a statement given to The Mirror today, Meryl's representative revealed: "Don Gummer and Meryl Streep have been separated for more than six years, and while they will always care for each other, they have chosen lives apart." This came after Page Six first reported on the couple's split.
Meryl was first introduced to Don by her brother back in 1978. After getting married in that same year and then starting their family in the years that followed, the family moved into a lavish private estate in Connecticut in 1985.
