The weather for the week shows a lot of promise with plenty of sunny spells forecast
The national forecaster says high pressure is building to the north of the country, heralding a period of increased stability in the weather for August.
On Monday morning, East Munster and south Leinster will see heavy outbreaks of rain but it will clear later in the morning.However, next weekend will see a shift to wet weather again with low pressure becoming dominant, bringing spells of rain and showers.Monday, August 14 This morning, outbreaks of rain will affect East Munster and south Leinster and will be heavy at times. Tuesday, August 15 Tuesday will bring sunny spells and scattered showers. The showers will become confined to Ulster and Leinster later in the day. Good sunny periods will develop to the south and west. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees with mainly light west to northwest breezes. Wednesday, August 16 A mix of cloud and sunshine with just well scattered showers developing. Highest temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees with light winds and sea breezes.
