Here is the latest forecast
The Met Office has issued a 48-hour weather warning for snow affecting vast areas of Nottinghamshire. The warning is in place from 3am on Thursday, March 9, until 6pm on Friday, March 10.
A Met Office map shows the warning will cover all north Nottinghamshire down as far south as the city of Nottingham and Bingham. Drivers are being warned there is a small chance of delays on public transport and that "there is a slight chance that roads may become blocked by deep snow, with many stranded vehicles and passengers".
In its outlook, the forecaster has warned of a mix of snow, sleet and rain on Thursday. For Friday to Sunday, a spokesperson said: "Further disruptive snow and strong winds likely at some point on Friday. Saturday quieter and more settled at first, before further rain and snow possible heading into Sunday."
On Thursday, the current forecast shows snow could hit any time from 8am until 11pm, with temperatures struggling to inch above 3C. For Friday, the current forecast shows most of the snow would be expected in the early morning, up to 9am. There is the chance of some sunshine from 12noon, but temperatures again will remain cold, with a high of 4C.
