This morning has seen a thick blanket of fog across Lancashire

Residents of Lancashire have woken up this morning to find their streets and homes surrounded by a blanket of fog.

The meteorological office states the fog could slow down journeys this morning, particularly journeys by car and delays to bus services could be possible too. There is also a chance of delays or cancellations to flights.As one of the first occasions of fog for Autumn 2024, the Met Office state there could be more developing overnight and lasting well into the morning. "Some of this could be quite dense, making journey times longer.
