Highs of 21C are forecast in the coming days, but it won't last
October’s mini heatwave is set to end this week after the month kicked off with an unseasonable warm spell. The country has enjoyed warm and pleasant conditions over recent days with temperatures reaching the mid 20s in some areas.
The Met Office predicts highs of 19C today in Greater Manchester with temperatures set to remain warm in the evening. Don’t hold your breath if you’re hoping for some sunshine though as it’s expected to stay cloudy throughout the day. Forecasting for the North West, the Met Office said: “Early mist, fog and low cloud lifting to leave brighter skies for most. Fine through most of the afternoon but increasingly blustery with showers possible by the evening. Rather warm. Maximum temperature 21C.”
We can expect some heavy rain showers on Wednesday too, so it’s time to get the raincoat out. It’s a similar outlook for Thursday, while we can expect heavy rain on Friday.
