Subzero conditions are expected to continue as freezing weather has arrived in Merseyside
The Met Office has issued a weather warning as freezing conditions continue to hit Merseyside. Temperatures have plummeted in the region this week with subzero conditions causing travel disruption. The wintry weather is expected to continue into tomorrow as the forecasting agency has issued a yellow alert for snow and ice. The warning is in force from 12pm today until 10am tomorrow .
' The Met Office advice continued: 'If you need to make a journey on foot, try to use pavements along main roads which are likely to be less slippery. Similarly, if cycling, try and stick to main roads which are more likely to have been treated. 'Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, or bus and train timetables, amending your travel plans if necessary.
