There is also a danger of flooding
A weather warning has been put in place by the MET Office as more rain is expected to hit the county. The yellow weather warning is in place for Nottinghamshire and many other parts of the UK all day on Thursday, November 17.
The weather warning in place means that there will be heavy rain which leads to a small chance of flooding and disruption. This could cause delays to bus and train services, and the spray from the water on the roads could lead to difficult driving conditions. Light rain is expected to start at 8pm on Wednesday, November 16, which will develop into heavy rain lasting from 9pm until 8am Thursday morning. It is then expected to rain consistently throughout the day, with patches of heavy rain from 10am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm.
It is expected to be cloudy with wind all day, with an average temperature of 9C and gusts of wind reaching 26mph. A yellow weather warning is in place for the south of the UK today , and another yellow warning will be in place on Friday, November 18, for some parts of Scotland.
