BREAKING: The Met Office has issued a new thunderstorm warning for this weekend covering all of Lancashire
The Met Office has issued a new thunderstorm warning for this weekend - and it now covers the whole of Lancashire and Cumbria.
This happens when the daily maximum temperature reaches 25C or higher for three consecutive days in a row. The thunderstorm warning could result in some homes and businesses being 'flooded quickly' while motorists face the prospect of 'difficult driving conditions and some road closures'. "Despite all of this, many places in the warning area will remain dry, or only see small amounts of rain, due to the well scattered nature of the heaviest showers."Video Loading Video Unavailable Click to play Tap to play The video will auto-play soon8Cancel Play now Parts of the country are predicted to be hotter than Marbella, Ibiza and Tenerife in the coming days as a “plume of warm air” moves in from the south, with temperatures likely to soar to 28C.
