The national weather service has announced a yellow warning for rain, with the impacted area of the UK including most of Nottinghamshire
The Met Office has issued a weather warning for Nottinghamshire as meteorologists predict flooding and travel disruption. The national weather service has announced a yellow warning for rain between 5pm on Thursday, September 26 and 10am on Friday, September 27, with the impacted area of the UK including most of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
The weather experts said there was a small chance that homes and businesses could be damaged by flooding, with the deluge possibly leading to difficult driving conditions and road closures. Some communities could be cut off by these flooded roads, they added, and there is a "small chance" of fast flowing or deep flood water causing danger to life.
