Some areas in the north west could see flooding according to current forecasts
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain for parts of the north west this weekend.
There is also an increased chance of flooding in affected areas, which may disrupt bus and train services as well as pose a threat to some homes and businesses. The Met Offices encourages people during a rain warning to assess whether they're property is at risk of flooding and whether it is safe for them to drive.
For the rest of the weekend, it adds: "Largely dry with some sunshine at times. Low cloud, mist and fog is possible by night and at first in the mornings. Unseasonably warm for early October."
