Scots are set to be battered by freezing cold winds from the Arctic, as temperatures across the country are forecast to plummet following bands of heavy rainfall.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning across some parts of the Highlands for Tuesday, September 10,
The alert is in place from 3am on Tuesday until 8pm at night. "Strong winds accompanying the rain may also add to the difficult travelling conditions," the Met Office added. Aberdeen and further to Fort William in the Highlands will both be sitting around 12C, as Scotland is set to get off to a chilly start this week.
