It's set to be a chilly day
Temperatures are set to plummet as 'Arctic air' hits the UK. Forecasters are warning that some parts of the country could see sub-zero temperatures and snow this week, as a chilly blast from the Arctic arrives.
Temperatures are stuck in the single digits across the region for much of this morning, according to the Met Office. Residents will see bright spells of sunshine, but showers are expected from around 1pm. A top temperature of 14C is forecast in Greater Manchester, but the Met Office says it will feel much cooler, and more like 10C or below for much of the day.
