There are mixed conditions which will all have an effect
Brits could get a glimpse of the stunning Northern Lights tonight - if the conditions are right for it. Large parts of the UK could be in line to witness auroral displays later today .
But while the geomagnetic storm means a dazzling display is possible, there are other weather factors which could get in the way. Anyone trying to catch a glimpse of aurora will need a clear and dark night, away from light pollution. In Greater Manchester, clouds are set to gather throughout this afternoon and evening. Some areas could also see patches of light rain.
