Summer will soon finally be here
After a dismal start to June, there are finally signs that the weather is about to pick up. The Met Office's forecast for the week ahead shows temperatures rising to 21C by the weekend.
Following on from the warmest May on record, a wet and much cooler-than-average start to June has left many of us wondering when summer will finally arrive. Thankfully, it appears this week is when we can finally put away the jumpers and jeans and replace them with T-shirts and shorts. The Met Office is predicting temperatures much closer to the average for this time of year over the next few days. The even better news is that the sun looks set to return by the weekend too.Monday, June 17 is set to the coolest day of the week in Nottingham, with cloudy conditions and highs of 18C. Tuesday will finally see us hit 20C in June, with cloudy conditions expected throughout the day.
It's good news if you've got an outdoor table book for the England game on Thursday afternoon too.
