The Environment Agency has issued 82 flood warnings and 164 alerts today.This comes as Wales was hit by a month's rainfall in 24 hours and an urgent warning was issued to people in Weston-super-Mare.
The River Taff also burst its banks in Cardiff, leaving large areas nearby completely submerged and 16 flood alerts are in place across the country. Fields in St Ives, Cambridgeshire were hit by floods as the River Great Ouse over-flowed today following sustained heavy rain.
