There will be sub zero temperatures next week
With the arrival of March, we may now be heading out of winter, but according to forecasts it doesn't guarantee we will be free from snow. The BBC Weather outlook says there is a chance of snow in Nottingham on Tuesday, March 7 and Thursday, March 9.
On Tuesday, the forecast reads: "Light snow and a gentle breeze", with temperatures set to reach no higher than 5C and fall as low as -2C. Thursday's outlook is similar, however, more sleet showers are predicted. The expectation of snow is not matched by the Met Office, however, with the forecaster only predicting brief light snow on Thursday afternoon.
Its Monday to Wednesday outlook for the East Midlands reads: "Monday dry start then rain spreads south. Tuesday very cold with snow showers, these mainly for Lincolnshire. Wednesday mainly dry and bright after a frosty start."
