Don't count summer out just yet
The Met Office has given its verdict on the weather Nottingham is likely to experience later this month, as weather maps predict some parts of the UK surging to 30C. A plume of hot air will be rising from the south within days, bringing with it hotter and drier conditions after a washout start to August, the Express reports.
At the same time, record-breaking temperatures have been recorded around the Mediterranean. June was the hottest on record for the UK, but both July and early August have seen below average temperatures.In Nottinghamshire this weekend, the Met Office predicts there will be a few showers with a maximum temperature of 23C. On Monday to Wednesday, its outlook reads: "Monday will be cooler with cloud and outbreaks of sometimes heavy rain spreading east.
