MET Office verdict on 30C June weather as temperatures to rise in Nottingham

Warmer weather is expected

over the coming days as MET Office weather forecasters for Nottinghamshire are expecting temperatures to rise.

It comes as forecasters have said an African plume is due to sweep across Europe and the UK from June to September, bringing a mass of hot air originating from the Sahara desert. According to experts, this could have the potential for even more warm weather and the possibility of heatwaves. Although it's not clear at this stage whether we will see the temperatures experiences in summer 2022.
