Completely forgotten what summer is, here 😔
It's been a wet and miserable start to the week for many with more downfalls expected over the coming days.
Heavy rain arrived this morning and it is expected to continue until around 3pm and highs of just 16C. It will then be wall-to-wall cloud with a bit of sunshine before a new band of rain moves in overnight with some thundery showers forecast around 1am.Lancastrians will wake up again on Tuesday with more wet weather to contend with before it eases off from 10am. The rest of the day will see a mixture of sunshine, cloud and light rain but mercury levels will remain low at around 17C.
However, it looks set to be a mixed weekend with more rain on the way on both days along with sunny intervals and highs of 23C on Saturday and 21C on Sunday. While temperatures will feel milder and the sun won't seem as hot, the pollen county will still be medium on Monday to Wednesday and then be very high on Thursday and Friday.
They added: "Temperature likely to be around or above average, with a slightly increased chance of hot spells compared to normal."Monday: Further showers to start the new week, which could turn heavy and thundery, or merging into longer spells of rain at times. Turning drier into the evening. Another blustery day. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
