The Met Office has warned of heavy snowfall in higher parts of Scotland from Friday night and into Saturday morning - with hilly parts of northern England also affected
The Met Office has issued yellow warnings for snow in parts of the UK as Storm Darragh sweeps across the nation this weekend. The weather agency said snow was expected to bring difficult driving conditions and disruption to parts of Scotland from Friday night and into Saturday morning.
Met Office issues rare 'danger to life' red warning for parts of UK ahead of Storm Darragh “Drifting of lying snow across the very highest routes above 400m may add to the impacts. Temporary snow accumulations may also affect lower levels for a time on Friday evening. The snow will become more showery and turn to rain or sleet through Saturday morning.” Meanwhile, snow could also hit hilly areas of northern England on Saturday.
