A Metropolitan Police officer accused of a string of sex offences has appeared in court charged with three further counts of rape.
David Carrick, 47, of Hertfordshire, faces a total of 44 charges relating to 12 women between 2003 and 2020. The new charges relate to one new complainant, and the offending is alleged to have taken place between 2008 and 2009.Mr Carrick, who spoke only to confirm his name and age at the hearing, shook his head as he was led out of the dock.Three counts of coercive and controlling behaviour;One count of attempted sexual assault by penetration;He will appear for a hearing at St Albans Crown Court on all charges in May.
Mr Carrick, who worked as part of the Met's Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command, has been suspended from duty.Related Topics
