Metro mayors calls for Alert Level 2 extension until end of February.
Citing three “important reasons,” the Metro Manila Council recommended to the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases to extend the Covid-19 Alert Level 2 in the National Capital Region until the end of February, an official of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said on Monday.
Artes said all mayors of Metro Manila unanimously approved the resolution on the retention of AL 2 in the capital region until February 28 citing Department of Health’s Covid-19 situationer in NCR as of February 12, 2022: the region accounts for 32 percent of the confirmed cases nationwide; the distribution of RT-PCR tests done and positivity rates by local government unit show a Regional Average Positivity Rate of 7.
