The internal brace is intended to shorten the recovery time from the Tommy John surgery, with players typically throwing six months afterwards.The 25-year-old made his major-league debut with the Mets this season and put up a 4.56 ERA over nine starts with 39 strikeouts before he was placed on the injured list on July 23 with a UCL sprain.
“All we wanna do is win for these fans, so to be able to do that tonight is awesome,” he said. “I hope to be a huge part of that going forward.”“That’s what you dream for,” he said. “That’s what you play for. I’ve played in front of these fans, this city, so just to see the atmosphere the fans provided, it was awesome.
