Artist Gabriel Rico will create a Dallas-inspired work and speak at a panel at the Nasher Sculpture Center on April 5.will be in town for a weeklong residency with the Augustus Owen Foundation from April 3 to 9 to produce a Dallas-inspired work and speak at the, Rico trained as an architect before becoming a post-surrealist sculptor and installation artist. His work has focused on the intersection of science and philosophy, as well as human interactions with nature and the cosmos.
On April 5, Rico will talk about his practice in a discussion with Nasher Sculpture Center’s chief curator, Jed Morse.In addition to Mexico and the United States, Rico has presented his work in countries such as South Korea, China, Japan, the United Kingdom, Germany, Colombia and Switzerland., Staff Writer.
